Well my whole family and I are moved over to western Washington now. Mav and I were staying with the in-laws for a couple weeks. Had LOTS of help from them and really enjoyed the quality time with his grandparents every day. We sure do miss them and the rest of our family already. Now We r staying with friends temporarily in Bellevue They r so awesome to let us all invade them in there home. It's not easy with a baby AND a dog. After a week of stressfully looking for child care for Mav we finally settled for the YMCA. I think he'll have a lot of fun playing with the other babies and lots of toys. But I'm sad to be gone from him for so long while I start my new job this week. Hopefully our house sells REAL soon and we find a new home.
BTW: update on Maverick: 8 months old now
He is all over the place crawling everywhere and pulling himself up to stand wherever he can. He has become a handful chasing after him constantly. He's such a joy though. Such a happy baby. However, he is on his 4th cold now. And of course j have it too. I love him sooo much. He is my pride an joy of all my days.

Christmas and New Years Eve 2011
We had a great holiday season- minus the flu that we all pretty much had. Luckily Maverick never got it and Dan and I got the worst of it a few days before Christmas. Unfortunately though, most of my family from CA that visited got it too.
We were fortunate to be able to spend Christmas eve with Dan's family and Christmas day with mine. Mav of course was the center of attention. He was totally spoiled- naturally. I was able to go snow boarding with my sister and bro-in-law and cousins while my aunt and uncle and other cousin baby sat Mav.
Then for New Years Eve Dan and I had an adult night out for the first time since Mav was born. We went on the CDA Rock'n Boat Cruise and stayed overnight in CDA while the in-laws watched Mav. We had a lot of fun!
But felt horrible the next day- not from hangovers but because Mav didn't have a great night due to coming down with a cold. His poor voice was so hoarse and you could see that it hurt him when he coughed. The guilt set in that we went out for our selfish drinking pleasure while our baby boy had a bad night. We just now are getting over the cold too.
All in all the holidays went well and so fast! Having Maverick this year for Christmas was the highlight of the season though.

Its official!
Well, Friday we put our house on the market. We are starting the first major step to moving to the west side of the state. We are excited that Dan got a nice promotion, but we're sad at the same time, as we are moving away further from our families. The best things about this move is that Dan will be home every night, and I will get to work part time. Let's just hope that our house sells fast.
